Security Door Hardware

When it comes to security doors, especially those made for the outside of the home, customers are usually surprised to find that they come without hardware. There are only a few companies currently manufacturing and selling doors with the hardware included, mainly because the taste of customers fluctuates so much. The China Simoto Group has created a large variety of handles and other types of security door hardware for consumers.

One of their best sellers goes by the model number of XD-HL16. Created out of high quality zinc-alloy, this handle has a slight design along the edges. Measuring five inches long by four inches wide, it fits most standard security doors. In addition it is available in two finishes: antique bronze and standard stainless steel.

The XD-HL27 was created for those who want something a little different and a little more designed than the typical types of security door hardware. Instead of a plate or rectangular box, this has only a small circle of metal that holds the door handle in place. The one downside to this is that it contains only a lock on the back side and does not come with a key, nor will it accommodate a key lock. It tends to work best for those who need to lock off a room in their house or those who have a garage door.

The XD-HL9 is one of the original security door handles the company first created and it’s still selling well today. When most people think of security door hardware, this is the type of handle they imagine. A basic rectangular plate of five inches by four inches contains a simple levered door handle. It comes in both bronze and stainless steel and looks similar to the handles used in hospitals.

The XDL-E was created for those who need some heavy duty protection. This door handle isn’t for the faint of heart, nor is it for those worried about locking themselves out of the house. Not only is it heavier than other door handles, even from this same company, but it looks significantly larger as well. In actuality though it’s the same size as their other models and fits in any standard size security door. This one contains a large rectangular plate with a keyhole on the outside and comes with the matching key. Shoppers can choose either the traditional stainless steel or the more popular bronze finish.

The XDL-F is similar to the XDL-E, yet it looks significantly lighter than the earlier model. This security door handle measures only three inches wide, while the other version is almost an inch larger, but they’re both five inches long. It contains a small keyhole on the front as well as a levered door handle and comes in both the bronze and stainless steel finish.

Also from the China Simoto Group is the XD-HL23. Measuring five inches long by four inches wide, it comes in both a bronze or stainless steel finish. A levered door handle attaches to a rectangular plate that easily screws into most security doors. It also contains a small keyhole on the front, a lock on the back of the plate and is made of durable zinc-alloy.

The XD-HL4 is made entirely of zinc-alloy and then coated in either a bronze finish or stainless steel finish, depending on the wishes of the customer. The outside edges of this security door handle are raised slightly to give it a carefully polished and posh design. It almost looks as if it belongs on the doors of a five star tropical resort, not the front of someone’s house. The customer needs only two screws to fit this into their security door and the design carries over into the levered door handle as well.

The XD-HL5 also goes by the relatively cute name of the Short and Stubby Plated Door Handle, which the company gave it. They don’t name all of their door handles, but this one certainly fits its nickname well. Instead of the traditional 5 X 4 inch size, this one is four inches long and three inches wide, which makes it look significantly different from the other door handles on the market, but it still fits the standard sizes of security doors. It also fits in circular door handle slots, which is a rarity. A levered door handle on the front of the plate has a nice look with a carefully sculpted design that customers seem to love.

The China Simoto Group manufactures a wide variety of security door hardware and handles in part because they realize that no two people have the same taste. It’s easy to customize any security door just by adding a new locking mechanism and door handle. It’s also helpful to note that their handles fit all sizes of security doors.
