Handles for Security Doors 2

Customers are turning in increasing numbers towards security door handles and other types of hardware. This is an easy and inexpensive way of updating those old fashioned looking doors and creating something that makes a statement. Instead of buying a brand new door, they can easily update the look with one of the many handles offered by the China Simoto Group.

The XD-HL22 is also known as the curved handle model because of the elegant curve of the handle atop a simple plate. The handle itself is created of zinc-alloy and then brushed with a chip resistant enamel in a dark grey color that almost appears black. The plate itself measures five inches long by four inches wide and comes in two finishes: stainless steel and copper.

The company also makes the XD-HL24, which looks perfect when paired with one of their hardwood security doors. The plate and handle are both made of a zinc-alloy, but they then cover the whole thing with a specially treated piece of enamel made to mimic the look of hardwood. The keyhole and sides of the door handle contain only minimal decoration, which allows the copper or stainless steel colors shine through.

The XD-HL26 is another security door handle available from the China Simoto Group. The company itself notes that this is one of the larger handles and plate sets they manufacture. The plate itself has the standard four by five inch size, but the handle itself it significantly larger and wider than those in other sets. This one has an external keyhole and locking mechanism on the back of the door.

Those who want security door hardware that goes beyond the typical styles or designs may find themselves falling in love with the XD-HL17. While the handle itself has a traditional look, it actually isn’t when compared with the hardware usually available for security doors. In fact this looks like it would be better suited for an entryway door than anything else. Zinc-alloy is pressed into several shapes and then molded together to create the final piece. It contains a lock on the upper part of the plate as well as a larger door handle and pull bar.

The XD-HL20 is an update on a modern classic. The company itself praises this security door hardware as one of the best current models they make. It has a nice beveled design on the top and bottom of the plate and features an easy to use levered door handle. The plate itself measures four inches wide by five inches long and fits onto the door with just two screws. It comes in the fairly popular stainless steel finish and the less popular bronze option.

The XD-HL21 also goes by the name of the Basic Square Door Handle. The plating on this door handle is available in both bronze and stainless steel. The plate on the handle measures four inches across and five inches long, with the attached handle only slightly larger. An external keyhole makes it easy for homeowners to leave their house unattended without worrying about someone getting inside, unless they have a key.

Any customer who wants something traditional yet a little more elaborate can take a look at the XD-HL3. This door handle is the standard five inches long, but measures just over three inches across, which gives the classic look of a handle a twist. Available in two finishes, it looks darker than others whether it’s bronze or stainless steel due to the color treatment process. This type of security door hardware works on both external and interior doors.

The China Simoto Group also manufactures the elaborate XD-HL5, which looks significantly different than the other plate and handle combos from this company. At only four inches long and three inches across, customers will instantly notice that it looks different from the other handles made today. It’s not just the size that makes it different, but the unique design as well. Small pieces of beveled metal are added to the design to create an eye catching look.

The XD-HL7 is quite similar to the last door handle except that it’s larger. Measuring five inches long by four inches across, it is the standard size for both security doors and regular entryway doors. An external keyhole makes it easy to lock and unlock as does the locking mechanism on the back of the frame. It easily screws into the door with the use of a screwdriver and the two included screws. Available in bronze and stainless steel, it also features a levered door handle.

Not everyone who buys a security door takes time to consider the hardware, but maybe they should. Given how quickly the handle can be replaced on the door, this truly is a quick and easy way to change the appearance of any door.
