Rolling Security Doors

Commercial buildings have long suffered not from a lack of security, but a lack of security doors. One company by the name of Geryon is hoping to change that. This company has begun manufacturing commercial grade security doors for use in private and public buildings and institutions. This German manufacturer has been creating security doors for years, but one of their revolutionary new concepts is hoping to change the way designers think.

The purpose of Geryon security doors are to allow companies and business to secure their properties, while still allowing their staff to easily access the building. One of their more popular products are the security revolving doors. Each of the security rolling doors they install come with a series of sensors on the back of the doors. The sensors carefully take in the surrounding area and record anyone who enters or exits the building.

Customers looking at these security revolving doors can also pick how they want the doors customized in terms of activation. The point is that no one can get inside the building without first signing into one of the electronic devices. They have card readers, which are the most popular. With a card reader, the only way a person can get inside is if they have one of the card. The device only unlocks the doors once the card is read by the machine.

Another option is a button system or operating panels. Here the staff and workers of the building need to use an attached keypad and input a special number or code to gain access to the building. When this is used in conjunction with a video camera, it shows every person who enters and exits the building as well as the time when they did so. Lastly customers can customize the program by choosing a biometric identification program. This scans the retina, fingerprint or another part of the body and only allows access to those recognized by the system. While it can be a little expensive, it’s often the best choice when a particular building or area of a building needs more protection.

There are a number of options that customers can also choose when looking at these security revolving doors. One option is to select sliding doors on either side of the main entrance. During an emergency, these doors may become a necessity. They allow people inside the building to easily get outside quickly, without stopping to identify themselves to the system. Another advantage to this optional feature is that it allows individuals to gain access to the building in case of an emergency. While the rolling security doors rely on electricity, these do not need power. In case of a blackout, the side doors will still work. The company also allows individuals to select bullet proof glass in their final order and to select rolling shutters that come down over the doors at night or when they’re not in use.

Geryon makes several different types of security revolving doors. The SRD-E01 is available as an all glass model or one with metal pieces. It’s also available with up to 4 additional doors and can be customized. The SRD-S01 is only available in an all glass model, but it includes the drive under the floor where it stays out of the way and doesn’t disrupt the flow of the room. Lastly the company also makes the SRD-C01, which is one of the most customizable of all their security rolling doors. This one comes in glass or metal, with the option of the glass being bullet proof. They also offer a few different thief deterrents that can be added to the door.

Customers buying rolling security doors also have the option of choosing different turnstiles, the turnstiles being what gives individuals access to the doors. The most popular option is the turnstile with model number STS-S02. This has a three wing setup with glass pieces or bars to keep everyone separate. It’s available with glass or metal sidewalls.

Customers also have the option of getting a sensor barrier instead of the rolling security doors or in addition to those doors. These are set up so that they swing open or slide open when someone steps in front of them. However the doors do contain a little security protection. They can be setup in the same way as the security rolling doors by only allowing access when an individual passes a biometric scan or enters the code into the program.

Rolling security doors are the best choice for a business or company that needs to protect their employees and assets. The doors only allow access to those granted permission to be in the building and blocks out everyone else. Those that have something to protect will discover that there is no better option out there.
