Wrought Iron Security Doors

Wrought iron security doors are always popular with shoppers because they combine a traditional look with a good material. The wrought iron is slightly flexible, which makes it easy to install and easy to keep up with, no matter how long it’s used. There are several different companies currently making wrought iron security doors, all with a variety of patterns and styles.

The Barcelona Diamond is one of the highly decorated and ornamental security doors available from First Impressions. Made entirely of wrought iron, the door has elegant scroll work on the sides and includes matching pieces for transoms and sidelights.

The Athens looks best when compared against a wood door. This storm door looks like it’s made of wood, but is actually made of wrought iron. When placed against a wood front door, this one looks exactly like a wood storm door. Of course some shoppers still want a security door that looks old fashioned like the Anna Belle. This iron storm door has a white patina that would look stylish on any home. It also combines a few scrolled pieces with straighter iron rods to provide functionality with decoration.

The Palazzo security door from First Impressions contains elegant detail work. This wrought iron security door contains Spanish style detailing. In addition it has a curved top for doors that aren’t perfectly straight. It also has an outside edge to provide additional security and has a sturdy door lock on the exterior of the door.

The Perisian security door from First Impressions was created to fit a variety of door types and styles. While the top edge is curved slightly, it also has a straight edge on the top. The door can be cut down to fit arched doorways or left intact for regular sized doors. Unlike other security doors that come only in black, this one actually comes in a white patina. The delicate decorative work covers a sheet of beveled glass. Inside the house residents can see outside, but no one can see into the house.

Yet another decorative security door is the Verona. This door has a thick iron border surrounding an inner piece of glass. On top of the glass is delicately scrolled iron pieces. In addition shoppers can pick up the sidelights, which mimick the look of the main door but also add an extra layer of decoration and design.

The Alicante is a basic security door, with minimal decoration. Small pieces of iron are curved to fit inside a thick border of iron. The Barcelona is available as a single door, but looks best when doubled up to create a larger iron security door. The sunburst patter on this door is outstanding and literally looks like a piece of art.

The Granada iron security door has a lightly curved arched top and a thick border that holds the delicate interior work. The bottom of the door has a series of small squares made of raised metal blocks to add yet another layer to the decorative elements.

The Naples is a basic screen door with delicate scrollwork on the top and bottom holding large pieces of flat iron in the middle. The white color of this storm door makes it a good choice for those who want something nontraditional. The Naples Variation is a more decorative version of this same door. Instead of straight edges, this one uses slanted pieces to make the storm door look more stylized.

Marvin Gardens looks great when it’s on its own and also when combined to form a double door. The geometric shapes are broken up with groups of grapes and an arched upper transom. The whole design is made out of pieces of black wrought iron. The same company also makes the Marvin Gardens Frieze. This door looks similar, but has a small frieze marching across the middle that breaks up the geometric design.

The Genova from First Impressions combines an elegant arched door with a rectangular door. While the door itself is rectangular, it’s made in such a way that it appears curved or arched. The door has a cut out portion in the middle to mimic an older arched door, with the outside made of high functioning iron. This provides a high level of security for those who need it.

The Veneto security door from First Impressions is both simple and elegant. While it has quite a bit of decoration, it’s also very basic and plain. The wrought iron pieces are carefully bent and curved to mimic the look of an old fashioned door, but this decoration is the main part of the door. There isn’t a strong edge or border to provide additional security.

These wrought iron security doors are from several different companies, including First Impressions. Customers can often find these doors available from their local home improvement store. Even if the store doesn’t carry that particular design in stock, they’re usually willing to special order for their customers.
